1st Class Train (Budapest to Prague) with time in Bratislava

I'm hoping someone can help me with this. I would like to buy a 1st class ticket from Budapest to Prague, but with a "layover" in Bratislava. Is there a way to pick each departure separately? When I go online, it only gives me the option of continuous travel even when I choose the "via Bratislava" option. I'm hoping to spend about 6 hours for sightseeing in Bratislava.

Thanks!!!

Buy the ticket once you are in Budapest. 1st class costs 50 % more therefore is almost never full. Differences between classes on trains are not as big like on planes. Then you get off in Bratislava and after 6 hours board a train to Prague. Simple.

If the air conditioning in first class works better, it'd be worth the difference. We went Budapest to Bratislava last April, and we just about burned up in Second Class. Hate to see how warm a train would be in July.

Since the trains don't require reservations, then you should be able to break the journey along the pre-defined route. However, I'd feel better to buy the ticket in the train station than online. In many countries, e-tickets are more restrictive, to help reduce duplication and fraud, versus a ticket printed on special ticket stock (which is not replaceable if lost or stolen).
