My two friends and I stayed at Hotel Medosz in Budapest for several nights in late September. We reserved the "Family Room" which was actually two bedrooms (one with a large bed and the other with two twin beds), plus a living area with a sofa that could be used as a bed. We were given a corner room on one of the top floors, and therefore had a nice view...we could even see fireworks on a Friday night that were being shot off from the river. The windows open so we could let fresh air in, which was nice. The location is convenient and only about a five minute walk to a metro station. Our room was clean and the beds comfortable.
Our only real complaint was the breakfast. Perhaps we were spoiled from the fabulous breakfast we had at Boutique Hotel Donauwalzer in Vienna right before we came to Budapest. The breakfast at Hotel Medosz wasn't horrible....it was adequate to fill our stomachs before a long day of sightseeing, but just not something we were really looking forward to.
I would probably stay at Hotel Medosz again, as it was a good value for the room, especially given the large size of the room and the the price.
