I spent 6 days in Budapest the last week of October. It was a great city that I very much enjoyed. I went to the Kadarka Wine Bar on Mr E’s recommendation and it was excellent. Food was great, tried 2 Hungarian wines and they were delicious. Cool laid back vibe, friendly atmosphere and service and good prices too. Big thumbs up.

I love a good 🍷 wine bar, thank you!

I’m only sorry I just missed getting a glass with Mr E. When I pulled into Budapest he was pulling out. I’ll be posting a trip report soon.
Wines are good - I never choose my own but have never been disappointed. And I don’t know why but at least once a trip, the flatbread calls my name for dinner.
I don't drink wine, but we stopped in for a bite when we were in Budapest in 2014, and we enjoyed it a lot.
I had this amazing dish of melty Brie and crisp bacon draped over a base layer of salad with grilled pita type bread on the side. Dressing of balsamic vinegar glaze. Sounds odd but it was OMG good.
The poppy seed bread pudding dessert was delicious too.
I live 200 feet up the street, so be jealous
