First, thank you to all that have helped us organize our Greece trip. The people on the Forum have been a tremendous help.
I am sure this will not be my last question in the coming months, but we are trying to finalize our hotel reservations.
Our last stop will be Rhodes. I thought it would be great to stay in the Old Town. Thoughts? Suggestions that are not unreasonably high?
Can’t remember the hotel!
But I do remember the best restaurant we ate at in Rhodes Town as we still are in touch with the owners:
: Hatzikelis
Solomou Alchadef 9, Rodos 851 00, Greece
Wonderful Greek specialities, seafood! It is located near the the harbor. Wonderful!
We were sent there by a chef we know.
I can highly recommend the incredibly historic and centrally- located Domus Studios which is owned and managed by a local Greek man named Stergos who grew up in Rhodes. Stergos also owns the St. George Studios on the same Apollonion Street. Stergos simply loves hosting guests which is why he has a number of Old Rhodes Town properties— now including a boutique hotel— where he greets his guests. I’ve stayed at both Domus Studios and the St. George Studios during different trips to Rhodes. They both are on a very quiet end of medieval Apollonion Street with very reasonable rates. Book well ahead of your trip because Stergos’ places are often sold out.
