where in Greece can my family get Covid test before flying back to U.S.?

I'm not sure if posting links to other forums is allowed but there is a list of covid testing labs in Athens on the Tripadvisor Athens forum (in section "Top questions about Athens") with addresses, telephone numbers, opening hours etc

I do not know about in Athens, but there is an "at-home", or in this case "at-hotel" test you can get and bring with you. If you are in the US currently and can get ahold of one of these it might be easier than going to a clinic. Some of these you need to ship back to a lab, which doesn't seem likely for international travel, but there is one that you do yourself and it is verified over zoom from anywhere.

I was able to find out information about getting the rapid test at the Athens airport the same day we fly back to the U.S. Thanks to all who shared advice.

I don't think a rapid test is enough. Check it again please. On the other hand, almost all the diagnostic centers provide PCR tests. You can just google it in the area you are,

Rapid tests are acceptable as long as they are a viral test acceptable under the Order.

Would love to hear more about the testing available at the Athens airport if anyone has experience there? (Cost, timing, etc.) We fly in from Naxos on a Weds, fly back to the US via Heathrow on a Sat, so hoping we can do the testing there if at all possible. Thanks!

This seemed like a logical place for this info that I found on the airport's FAQ page:

RAPID Antigen tests for Covid-19 are conducted daily on a 24 hour basis at the specially configured testing point of Athens Medical Center on the “Arrivals” level, between exits 2 and 3.

You may proceed for testing without an appointment. Payment options available at the testing points include the use of POS machine accepting debit / credit card or cash.
