I am looking for suggestions for a day in Mykonos when my cruise ship docks. I’d like to do something off the beaten path.

On our recent cruise we just wandered around Mykonos town. It is quite busy but enjoyable.
You could find a taxi and go to a beach for the day.
There is a great day trip to Delos an ancient site which is well worth your time.

It's not off the beaten path, but Delos is definitely worth a visit. Definitely! If you stumble upon a bar / restaurant named "Rhapsody", check it out. Great views of the water from a nice place to have a relaxing little while before returning to the ship.

Delos would be good unless you have seen enough ruins. In port walk to the windmills and then wander the town. Eat at a restaurant not on the water.
