What to do in Athens (outside the box)

My husband and I have been to Athens before and have done many of the usual touristy things to do in the past. We will be on a cruise ship in September and one of our ports is Athens for the day. My husband CAN walk (but with some limitations) as well as having some vision issues. I am hoping that there might be some suggestions as to something that we CAN do there while we are in port that will be fun and not too taxing. Perhaps a private excursion?

You could stay in Piraeus where there are some interesting things to see and do.

Less than 10 minutes by taxi:

Hellenic Maritime Museum

Right next to the museum, the Zeas marina:

Or the
Votsalakia beach

Also about 40 mi south of Athens:

Cape Sounion and the Temple of Poseidon

(I don't know if there are organized tours from Piraeus)
