We will be arriving the Alimos Marina tomorrow and have to be off our boat by 9am. Our flight isn’t until 6pm. Does anyone have a suggestion of what we could do for the day? We will have our luggage with us. We were hoping to find a pool or beach and a shower to use before our ten hour flight.

Since you will need to be at the airport by 3:00 for your flight at 6:00, maybe you could book a day room at an airport hotel. I don’t see how a beach is possible in the 6 hours you will have, especially burdened with luggage, but the Sofitel at the airport has a pool, if day rooms are available.

I agree with the previous comment. See if you can check your luggage at the airport when you arrive or see if the Sofitel will keep them for you if you book a day room rate or make a spa appt. Once you drop the luggage, take a taxi to Athens and do one thing--late breakfast in Plaka or the Acropolis museum (you can have a snack/coffee there) then return to the hotel for a dip in the pool/shower/hair appt and walk across to the airport. You might find it more relaxing to just stay at the hotel if you have already done your sightseeing for the trip.

Thank you so much! It's exactly what we did. Checked baggage at the airport and went into the city. Was planning on something a little more relaxing but glad we didn't. Got to see amazing sights in the city.
