I understand there is a water taxi that can take you from the cruise port to Oia which includes a shuttle that takes you up to the top. But I can't find anywhere whether you can do the reverse. ie get a ride down to the water taxi and go back to the Old Port without needing to go to Fira and take the cable car down. Am I understanding this correctly? It seems logical that if the shuttles go UP to Oia they could also get you back DOWN so you could take the water taxi back to the cruise port. Can you go in the reverse direction?
We've been planning our October trip for nine months, so I have done a lot of research.
Even though we won't be cruising, I have aread about this water taxi, and from everything I have read it is one way only.
It doesn't make a lot of sense really, they have to go back so you would think they could take people too, but nothing I've read leads me to believe that that's the case.
