Water shoes

Hello, leaving on Wednesday for our trip! We are going to Santorini, Naxos and Paros. Santorini we have a car one day to drive us around to different places, and also a boat day. Was wondering if water shoes are necessary to pack. Our main beach visits will be on Naxos and Paros, Santorini we will do the water from the boat.

Depends on what you want to do, if it’s just going to the beach, I remember Naxos having mostly wide sand beaches so I would say no there.

Unless you're going to hang out in a few isolated, "off the beaten path" coves or beaches (which I doubt), you won't need water shoes. Regarding the boat day, depending on the type of excursion and boat, you might even be required to go barefoot on board.

Nope - don’t bother

I have packed them at least 1/2 dozen times before I realized I never used them.

We don’t bother now , waste of space for us.

When we went to Mykonos, my husband sorely wished he had them. He cut his feet on the rock shelf right out in front of our hotel (and ripped up his swim trunks sliding across said shelf). It does depend on what you're planning to do, of course.
