Walk from Firostefani to Fria how is it?

I know this will sound crazy, but is it a busy street or a quiet secluded path? From what I have read Firostefani is a little cheaper and a 15 minute walk but hubby wants to know what the walk is like. Especially if we are walking back at night.
I think he is worried about safety issues. Thanks for any help

You can walk on the road or on the cliffside pedestrian path, your choice. Both are well-illuminated.

Try this: http://tinyurl.com/zjf6zbg Left click with your mouse to "walk" up the main road from Fira to Firostefani. That way you can see what the road is really like.

Thanks Lee. Is the cliffside pedestrian path secluded or does it have hotels etc along the path? Have you walked it? How long of a walk is it? I think we will be staying at the Cliffside suites.
Thanks for your help

Goodness -- Santorini is NOT Boston, NY or Philly. It's an Island ... I've never felt safer than on a Greek Island OR in Athens. And as a retiree, I've walked alone back from Fira to Firostephani by moonlight in May, with nary a care. The cliffside path walking back is uphill; the main road is much more level ... but you don't even have to go on the sidewalk of the main road. There is a flagstone lane that Parallels the main road, between it and the rimside path. On this Map, http://www.skymap.gr/apps/site/viewmap/?mapid=24&cid=0 its the lane going in front of the Catholic Cathedral near left side of Map; on map it's called Erithro Stavrou (but don't look for street signs, there are none). Walk is about 15 minutes from Santorini main square.

Lee, you're the best thank you. Janet, my husband is a police officer and after 30 plus years it's just the way he thinks.
