There was no-one at the VAT desk in the Heraklion airport when my daughter went to get her VAT refund. Due to the extremely long lines and the excessive amount of time it took to get through security and passport control, she was unable to wait to see if anyone showed up ; otherwise, she would have missed her flight home. Is there a way to claim it once one leaves the country?

Thank you but I believe she needed to get something stamped and there was no-one there to do it. I'll have her submit the form anyway.
