LOok at this map, https://tinyurl.com/zekuft9 it's for the Peloponnese, but when you clilck it gets big and it also shows Athens and the Airport, and also Rafina. which shows the "beltway" road (the Big Green Road on the map) that goes to the Airport.
If you take the X95 express bus at Syntagma square (€6) which runs every 20-30 minutes 24/7, it takes u to the Airport in about 55 minutes... a tad more in rush hour. Right in front of the AIrport is a bus stop with busses going to various places East of the Airport. The bus to Rafina takes 25 minutes. So, if you have a good connection, it is about 90 minutes. There may be a bus line from Central Athens that goes to Rafina, but probably will take the Big Green Road, & take a similar amount of time.
To get to the port of Rafina by bus from Athens the simplest but also the most expensive solution is to take a taxi, otherwise you can take the bus from the Ktel Attikis bus station which is next to the metro station Victoria (this is metro line 1)
The bus station is about 100 meters from the metro, you will see a square with orange colored buses
The journey time will be around 1 hour depending on traffic. The price of the bus is around 3 euros
About the X95 bus that Janet tells you (as well as for all buses, trolleybuses and trams in Athens) you can see its schedules and their position in real time with the OASA Telematics application.
Thanks to all for your responses.
