Hi,
I have a two prong adapter plug type C I have used in Italy and Spain. Can i use this for Greece? And if so, all the islands as well? If not, which plug do I need? Thanks
I have a two prong adapter plug and it works in everywhere in Greece. Coming from the US if you want to charge any electronics then you'll need something like this. Very inexpensive, easy to use and works great.
It's not just about the round, two-prong configuration, which in Greece will be the same as in Italy and Spain, but it's also about the size of the adapter. Some are large and have a shape that won't fit into a recessed outlet. This is the one I use and it works in every type of outlet I've encountered in Greece as well as all over Europe: http://tinyurl.com/kmucmvm
Lee, what brand is that? And did you buy it on Amazon?
I don't know what brand it is, it's just a photo I "googled" to show you what I take with me. You can buy these all day long on ebay.
Be sure to buy the ones that don't have extra-wide 'shoulders' on the EU side of the adapter. Otherwise it might not fit inside some of the outlets.
I have used the same $1 adapters on the RS website in both Italy and Greece, without any problem.
I just ran across the exact one from my original posting in an advert for Ace Hardware: http://www.acehardware.com/product/index.jsp?productId=1274513&cid=CAREM_FB_DynamicRemarketing
Lee and Joe,
Thank you both. I bought 2 from the Rick Steves web store. With shipping $8,00. So $4.00 per plug, Not a bad deal.
Thank you again for your help.
