I am on the museum's website. I choose the date in April, time and number of tkts and then press continue, it doesn't progress any further. I've tried changing the time and date but the same thing happens. I did email them but haven't heard back. From reading the forum it looks like there is no other trustworthy way to get tickets?
We just turned up on Tuesday morning and bought them on the spot. There wasn’t a queue although apparently there is sometimes a small one. It’s not like the Acropolis which you really need to book in advance.
The chances of you just showing up and not being able to enter are VERY SLIM. Don't worry about it.
Try again

The ticket purchasing process is working.
Anyway, there is no or very little queue at the NAM. You can buy tickets once you get there.
We were there last summer on a Saturday, early in the afternoon and walked right in and got tickets with no wait. BTW, I had made a photocopy of the museum map from the Rick Steve’s guidebook just to make sure we didn’t miss anything and found it to be very helpful. It’s a great museum, enjoy!
Thank you so much everybody! I love this forum! I read that the most crowded time at the museum is between 1-2 pm. Any thoughts?
You really don't need to worry about crowds at NAM.
The worst that can happen is to be there at the same time (or 2 minute after) a tourist bus. It will be no more than 10 or 15 minutes of waiting.
But actually if you prefer to be with fewer people inside the museum, go there early in the morning. As the NAM is a bit far from other sites and museums most visitors go there in the afternoon, I guess they have other plans of places to see in the morning.
The museum is very large, even if you miss the rooms with the thousands of pottery, it will take you 2 hours to see a good part of it.
This site serves as a platform to reserve your tickets for museums in Greece. While it doesn't encompass every museum, it does cover a majority of them and is a certified website for such bookings. In case a particular museum isn't listed, it likely means that the online booking option isn't currently available for it.
