Hello,
I'm visiting Oia in July and inclined to stay in a hotel that has a fair number of rooms and social locations, restaurants, and room service. I'm a middle age, energetic woman and am fine traveling alone. I just don't want to be isolated, prefer an interesting though not bustling area. My budget is 300-500 US. I would appreciate any advice. Thank you.

Check the Aethrio Hotel, it's right in the heart of Oia with no steps to speak of. You can also use the filter system at http://www.booking.com to explore more possibilities and read reviews. TripAdvisor is also a great resource for hotel reviews.
