I need to have as much information on Crete as I can obtain since I will be staying there for a full month. I have the official travel book that the tourist bureau sent me but it is out of date as it was written in 2012. Everything I have read about it is now obsolete. So please send me all I need to travel to Crete between August 30th 2014 to Oct 1st. 2014.

I suggest the Lonely Planet chapter for Crete, which is dated 2014 and may at least be somewhat updated versus their Crete book published in 2012. You always have to check bus/ferry/site schedules locally as you go in Greece, since they do change often. It's also not hard to find rooms as you go.

You can Google Crete and find a ton of info of all kinds on getting to the island as well as on being there. You can go to Trip Advisor, put in the towns you want to explore and get lists of things to do in each one, as well as places to stay and eat.
