Hi! Wondering the best way to travel from Venice (or any nearby main city) to Santorini for a family of 4 - 2A and 2 teenagers aged 14, 15. Wondering if anyone has done the slow ferry to Patras, or train to Ancona/Bari and then boat? We are travelling from Paris to Athens, and I have a week booked on Syros. Thinking that flights directly to Santorini from (??) might be better use of our $ and time away? Appreciate your thoughts please.
Florida and EasyJet fly from Venice to Santorini. Flying will be the most reasonable way to get there.
We took a cruise of the region a couple of years ago, and it was a very affordable way to see the region, including Malta and Ephasus.
Thanks David!
Just google airlines that fly direct to Santorini. I think there may be more than 2 that do this route.
One point to mention on flights to Santorini is that some airlines may only offer seasonal flights. I believe easyJet only offers flights on Monday and Wednesday, so you'll need to have some flexibility in your Itinerary.
Volotea also has flights on that route, but again these may be seasonal and may only operate on specific days-of-the-week. I normally use easyJet whenever possible.
