Transfer Times Between Flights

Hi there...

We are looking to fly between Paros & Podgorica (Montenegro) and have to travel via Athens.

The Paros to Athens leg is with Sky Express landing at 2:45pm with the Athens to Podgorica leg being with Aegean Airways departing at 4:20pm.

We will have checked baggage so my question is whether 1 hour 35 minutes is sufficient time between flights to collect our bags, check in to the next flight and go through passport control at Athens Airport.

The alternative is having 6 hours at Athens airport.

Any advice in relation to this would be much appreciated.

Cheers
Richard

Aegean/Olympic offers Paros → Podgorica flights every Tuesday in a single ticket with a connection time of 1 hour 20 minutes in Athens, which means that in theory it is possible without checking luggage, since they are routed to Podgorica.

But 1h35 in 2 tickets with bags to collect and re-check in, I wouldn't take that risk.

Consider what the checkin requirements especially for checked baggage drop off and gate closing for Aegean Airlines. That may make your decision easier.

It looks like the 4:20PM flight is the last one of the day to Podgorica.

If you miss it, you have the cost of a hotel and a new ticket for how many people.?

Your choice, the boredom of a 6hr wait or the thrill ( and expense?) of a 95 minute transfer, assuming the 1st flight is on time.
By later in the day the better the chance for planes to be running behind, so an on time arrival in Athens is not certain.

You get to choo$e.
