Our cruise ship docks at Katakolo and we are thinking of taking the train to Olympia. The site mentions the ancient Olympia sites are a walking distance from the train station. Does anyone know how far that is?

Rick's guidebook estimates the walk to/from train stations at each end of the route to be about 10 minutes each way. See the station at Olympia here. Google Maps puts this walking estimate at 14 minutes (1.1 km) to get all the way to the archeological site (further than the museum).

There is a direct footpath from the station to the archeological museum which takes approx. 5 min. (look out for the small pedestrian bridge). From there down to the site it's another 10 minutes.
