I am searching for tour from Athens to Delphi in December. I realize question has been asked many times in past but I am hoping to get current recommendations.

I took the bus from Athens to Delphi, spent one night there, and left the next day in the late afternoon. I was able to see the museum on the day I arrived and tour the ruins the following day. I wish I had done additional hiking or something better than just waiting for the bus the day I left or left on an earlier bus. The trip from Athens to Delphi is about 3 hours one way. Doing Delphi as a day trip from Athens seems too rushed. Delphi has a pleasant, calm ambiance in the evening after the day-tripping tourists leave. You don't need a guided tour. Spend a night in Delphi. There is nice mountain scenery, hotels, and restaurants if you don't bring your own food.
