We will be traveling to Greece next week. I have tried to find insight on tipping but keep getting different answers from different sources. We will be doing some private tours on the islands. How much is suggested to tip the tour guide for a full day and half day tour? Do you also give tips to the driver? We will also be doing a private hike out of Athens, tipping amount for a full day? Lastly, if taking a cruise tour, do we tip the guide?

Are you paying in advance or paying when you meet your guide? Are you booking a tour with a tour company or an individual that advertises on the internet? How much do you feel like the guide deserves? Should your guide get Twenty Euros per hour? Will your guide get at least this much in the given, required price? If so you don't need to give a tip. There are "free" tours which last 2 or three hours. If you do one of these tours, you should give the guide at least 15 Euros but you could give more if few others are there and/or if you learn a lot.
