Hi, We have 2 nights at Marizan Caves and 1 night at Esperas. Thanks to this forum, I know they are close to each other. They hav both offered to arrange transportation from the airport. How much should this cost? How easy is this for us to do on our own?
What is best way to explore the island? Should we rent a car? With only 3 days we are hoping to be able to see as much as possible.

A taxi to and from the airport should be no more than €25-30 each way. When you first arrive at the airport one of you should go outside immediately to hire the taxi and set the price while the other collects your bags at the carousel. The taxi can take you very close to Marizan and Esperas. The drivers should know these hotels. There is a road down to Amoudi Bay that begins by the Oia post office parking lot, and down that road about 100 yards is a driveway on the left and a small sign saying "Kyklos". Go up that driveway to the Lioyerma Cafe/Pool and Ochre Wine Bistro. Marizan is just past the pool complex to the right of the windmill. Esperas is below the windmill. http://tinyurl.com/zy8gmax
