Taxi in Santorini

We will be flying to Santorini on June 12 and will require a taxi to our hotel in Oia. Does anyone know how available airport taxis are, or should we be making pick-up arrangements in advance?
Thanks!

Some taxis will be available to you when you arrive at the airport. Because there are only around 40 taxis for the whole island it's best if one of you go outside immediately to the taxi rank while the other collects your luggage at the carousel. Expect to pay around €30-35. Shuttle van services are also available to book online. The price is about the same, or a little less, but it will probably take a bit more time to get to Oia because you'll be the last ones dropped off.

If you're staying at a hotel, contact them to see if they provide a shuttle or pick-up service (there may be a charge, ours was $25). There is also a company called, Welcome Pickups that operates in many major cities, including Athens and Santorini. You can pre-arrange rides with them. Their fee includes gratuities, a little welcome bag, and bottled water. We didn't use them in Santorini, but we used them several times in Athens. Saves a lot of hassle, especially with luggage in tow. Hope this helps!

A taxi on Santorini will cost about €30-35 to the furthest village, Oia. Welcom Pickups will charge €47.
