Some advice on ferries, please!

In September I’m taking a ferry from Paros to Piraeus. It arrives at 3:00. I then need to take another ferry to Hydra. The options are one that leaves at 4:25 or 5:30. Both the one from Paros and the 5:30 one to Hydra are Blue Star. The 4:25 option is Magic Sea. My question is how complex is changing ferries in Piraeus? How much time do I need to allow? Do different companies use different parts of the port?
I don’t like waiting around longer than needed, but I also don’t like to have to run!

Another question is it better to buy direct from the ferry line, or is there a preferred consolidator ( preferably one with an app)

The Blue Star 1 from Paros arrives at Gate E6/E7 in the port of Piraeus.
The ferry to Hydra leaves from Gate E8, but note that it is a Flying Cat ferry from the Hellenic Seaways company which is a member of the same group as Blue Star "Attica Group".
So don't look for a Blue Star ferry.
It will be this kind of ferry:

Gates E7 and E8 are right next to each other

Below is the Street View of Gate E7, approximately where you will disembark from the Blue Star 1

About 200 meters further you arrive in front of Gate E8 (on the right) where you will take the ferry to Hydra.

So you will have less than 10 minutes of walking between the two gates.
If your ferry from Paros is on time you have time to take the ferry to Hydra.

Do not use a third-party service to purchase your tickets.
Buy them either at a ticket office in Paros when you are in Paros or online from the Blue Star Ferries website.

In both cases you can buy your 2 tickets at the same time
