We will be in Athens for 2 days next month and have been researching advance ticket purchases.
I have learned that we can buy a Combo ticket online for 30 euros per person which includes the Acropolis and a number of other popular sites which can be used over 5 days (one entry per site.)
What I can't seem to figure out is how to purchase a Skip the Line ticket without signing up for a tour. I have read that it costs 9.50 euros to add this feature but I don't know how or where to do this. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
You can go to the main ticket office at opening time, 8 a.m. and purchase the multi-site ticket.
It's best to get there at opening to avoid tour groups and hordes of tourists.
You'll have maybe 1 hour of relative peace and tranquility before the pushing and shoving tourists show up.
If you want to buy on-line try this website:
Click visitors
Click Attica in region
Click Acropolis & Slopes
Click date & time (8 a.m.)
Clicked Combined
Click number of tickets
Click General Admission
and follow the rest of the instructions
I don't see anything about a tour
Good Luck!
