I am helping a friend with SIM card for Greece travel and wondering which ones have been the best for travel there as well as ones to avoid. Thank you.

Vodaphone can be purchased at Athens airport next to carousel 1 in baggage claim.
Cosmote from any Germanos store.

I've always used Cosmote WhatsUp SIM Card and it worked great either on an island or the mainland even in rural areas.
I don't believe you can get one at the airport and even if you could the cost would be much higher than at at Cosmote or Germano's shops.

Tommy. You are correct as I mentioned cosmote available at Germanos store NOT at the airport. The airport has vodaphone near to carousel 1 in baggage claim.
Entirely up to op as to get sorted out sooner rather than later.
FYI I use cosmote.
