Share taxi Chania to Sougia 13th May?

Hi, I'm travelling with my husband to Souga on 13th May and will be taking a taxi from Chania to Sougia when we arrive at 6:30am. We might also be taking a taxi from Chania to Sougia on 20th May. And, as we won't be hiring a car we will probably use taxi for trips to Samira Gorge and other places. Please get in touch if sharing a taxi is of interest. Margaret

There is a bus for all the routes you mention. Im not sure it runs at 6:30 am from the port to Chania, but you could google search it. And there is a bus from Chania to the trail head of Samaria gorge that departs at 6:30 (I believe, you should also search this, or jwugg might answer here). Then the bus picks up gorge hikers at the end, but I don't know where. Point is, there's no need for taxis :)

edited to add - This is what I found with a quick google search:
(from trip advisor. This info is dated 2007, so look for more recent details...)

"There is an early morning bus from Chania bus station to Xsiloskalo, the enterance of the Samaria Gorge. When you finish the walk at Agia Roumeli you then have to get the ferry to Hora Sfakia where you pick up a bus back to Chania. Don't take the ferry back to Sougia or you will not be there in time for the last bus to Chania.

The best thing to do is make enquiries at the KTEL bus station in Chania when you are there for exact times of departure etc. to see that everything is feasible for you.

It is a full days excursion but well worth it & a memorable walk."

I can't see the point in taking a taxi to Sougia and particularly using a taxi for teh Samaria Gorge excursion. The buses are totally geared up for these routes. The quote from 2007 is no longer correct, there are buses waiting in Sougia and Paleochora to take you back to Chania after teh ferry arrives from Agia Roumelli. Catching the bus from Sougia will get you back to Chania an hour earlier. Check timetables when you arrive.
