We will be taking a two week trip to Greece soon. In the interest of packing light, I'm wondering if there are self-service laundry facilities in the Athens area.
Yes, there are laundromats in Athens. Last year, we used one that was attached to a sports bar and an Internet cafe. I think it was Athens Launderette.
Thank you for the information!
I'm sure you can find a laundramat in Athens but how much laundry will you have? How long will you have been on the road before getting to Athens?
We fly from the US to Athens and stay for a couple days then head out either to the mainland or the islands. We don't have much laundry at that time so when we get to our destination after Athens we do our laundry in our accommodations. Usually we have a studio with kitchenette where we can do laundry in the kitchen sink then for the most part many of the accommodations with a balcony will have a drying rack to hang your laundry.
We do our socks, underwear, T-shirts, jeans and whatever else in the kitchen sink then hang them on the drying rack. It works out well and we don't have to worry about finding a laundramat!
I guess it all depends on how many people in your party will have laundry to do.
I do as tommyk5 does and have been doing that for 13 years now.
We are planning to do some laundry in our hotels. I just want to know what our options are. Thanks for or the info.
