I will be on Santorini from June 18-21 and only need a room for one, but would like a caldera view. Accommodations are filling up quickly and I'd love to hear recommendations.

The least expensive room I know of with a caldera view is at Stelios Rooms in Oia. You can also use the filter system at www.booking.com to search for affordable accomodations in the village of your choice on your travel days at the price you want to pay with the services/facilities/amenities you require.

We stayed at Nikos Villas in 2015, https://www.nikos-villas.com, a 5 minute walk to Oia. It has a great view of the caldera, is right on the walking bath, and has a nice pool. Because it was "outside" Oia, it was cheaper than the ones in town, but as I said, it was only a few minutes walk. We were skeptical of the people who said the sunset is the best in the world, and not sure if we made the right choice. I have to tell you, the sunsets really are the best you will see. Ever. If you're looking for a guide, we highly recommend Kostas. He picked us up at the hotel, took us all around the island, and dropped us at the airport in time for our flight. Well worth the price.
Enjoy your trip! We're planning another Greece trip the summer after next (have to get to Ireland and Scotland first).
