Hello, I am traveling to Santorini next month and have made a reservation at Metaxi Mas and Dimitris Ammoudi Taverna. We have limited time (~2.25 days on island) and plan on eating a couple casual meals, plus dinner during a catamaran cruise, and these restaurants. My question is this...everything I read highlights Ammoudi Fish Tavern, but when I go to read the reviews, so many people say that it is overhyped and the service is not good (more of a scene)...is this accurate? Am I better off at Dimitris Ammoudi Taverna? Or should I just give it a shot and head to Ammoudi Fish Tavern? Thank you so much in advance for any insight!

Stick with Dimitris. They're one of the last of the original restaurants down there, having been around for decades. High quality and family-friendly vibes.

I would believe recent reviews (particularly ones with pictures) over articles. Take everything with a grain of salt of course.
You already have a reservation at Dimitris, I say stick with that. The food honestly looks better than at Ammoudi Fish Tavern
