I've been reading that inbound passengers are being pulled aside at the Santorini airport and being randomly tested for covid. True or false and if true, should we carry a covid test on our person as back up?
Whether they are actively doing that, I don't know, but every country has stated that they reserve the right to test whomever they wish on arrival. If they are seeing a rise in cases, then they may be testing.
Not sure if you mean carrying a covid test result with you, or a test kit to perform your own test, but in either case, it really does not matter, they will use their test, and only accept their result.
Last month, I departed from Santorini and didn't hear or see anything like that. It is a very small terminal.
But Greece does say it reserves the right to test people on arrival. Nothing specific about Santorini.
Thank you so much. Great information and appreciate it.
