Santorini & Mykonos Hotels

Hello!

We are two families with kids ages 7-3, traveling to Greece in August!
What hotels should we stay at in Santorini & Mykonos? We are looking for ultra luxury, pool time, beach time and relaxing. Few activities but not much. Luxury is key!

Also we are currently at 4 days at each island is that enough time? We could possibly do a day of sight seeing and a day at another island to visit.

Any recommendations suggested! Thank you...
Ash

Have a look at the Santorini Palace. We stayed there for four days a few years ago, but it still looks as good as when we were there. Excellent view of the caldera, quite luxurious (in our humble estimation, not being used to a life of luxury) and a short walk downhill to the bus stop to town and elsewhere. Sunsets are gorgeous.

In Santorini, we stayed at Cosmopolitan Suites. It was very nice and had a great view of the caldera. It had a nice small infinity pool overlooking the caldera.

Just in case I win the big one some day, I saved a Conde Nast Boutique Hotel site in my favourites.

For ultra luxury...5 nights in mid August at a 2 bedroom villa with private pool and spa at the Ambassador Aegean Luxury Hotel and Suites on Santorini is €12,500. Or only €8,205 for 5 nights at the Panorama 2 Bedroom Sea View Suite at Tharroe Boutique Hotel on Mykonos.

For luxury accomodations on Myconos, we've stayed at one of the Myconian Collection's hotels (Imperial) that sits above Elia beach. It was spectacular. https://www.myconiancollection.gr/

This is not near Myconos Town, so you're far away from the loud club scene. We would take the shuttle bus into town for some dinners and return by taxi. Really liked being in a quieter area with a great pool and an easy walk down to a nice beach.

for luxurious hotel in Mykonos we stayed at the Mykonos Blank/Pisaji at Ornos Beach. It sits 10 steps away from the beach, has the sun beds with umbrellas and towels and a pool overlooking the beach. Pisaji is the restuarant. The hotel is really really nice. We stayed in August. Luxury hotels doe not accommodate anyone under the age of 12 in Oia Santorini.
