Changed our minds - NOT staying in Greece after November 20th.
We're going to be running the Athens Marathon this November. We thought we'd go to Santorini for a few days, arriving November 21st. Is it easy to get to Santorini from Athens? Is the weather still mild that time of year?

Hopefully one of the regulars will chime in, as I just have common knowledge: the weather could be quite mild (50s-60s), but some places close for the season. I would scope out flights, but I would actually play it by ear and not book anything I could not cancel. If it gets rainy for example, I would stay on the mainland and go somewhere like Nafplio or Thessaloniki.

By November 21 most shops, galleries, cafes, restaurants and hotels will be closed for the winter. There's no way to predict the weather but you can expect it to be cold, overcast and windy, so bring clothing you can layer for comfort. Who knows, you may get lucky and find pleasant days and sunny skies.
