Check the Sunset Hotel in Firostefani. Most "atmospheric" hotels in that price range will already be booked solid for the summer, so if this one is full try using the filter system at www.booking.com for more choices.

Prices are also greatly affected by WHEN you are going ... June much higher than May, July-August highest of all. FOr the best advice, share your dates. My tip: Firostephani also has lovely views of the Caldera at least 30% less than hotels of same level/stars in Oia. If Sunset is full, look for others nearby. Firostephani is Also walkable to FIra Town, yet quiet (no tour busses go or stop at FIrostephani).

We will be in Greece May 15-30.

Just stayed at Mylos hotel, shares a corridor with Sunset. Great views, well cared for rooms, brought breakfast to our terrace daily.

If you can find one on the Caldera side you'll be very happy with the view. but if it's allowed on this site, I'll warn you away from the one our travel agent set us up with. It was HORRIBLE!!!!!!! It was in Oia, caldera side, and called "Niko's Villas" . On Trip Advisor, you'll a few reviews where people love him and then, people HATED it. The owner has a fondness for young, pretty girls and treats everyone else horribly. Especially his staff. He's a mean, hateful man and the ONLY good thing about the hotel is the VIEW and his poor, hardworking, mistreated staff.
