We will have a day on Santorini in November. In the summer we would not even go but will November be more reasonable and any tours anyone recommends? Thank you.

My sisters and I will be in Santorini the end of September and hope the weather isn't too hot to walk the rim of the caldera from Thira to Oia. It's about 7 miles but we did it 18 years ago and it is a beautiful walk, not terribly strenuous. There is a trail and gorgeous views away from crowds. If you have the time and are able to walk that far I would highly recommend it. We had a dog accompany us from Thira which was cute but half way there we passed another group going back to Thira and he turned around and followed them back. I think cruise ships offer a guided walk but it is easy to do on your own. There are regular buses going back from Oia to Thira.

Why not take the bus or taxi to Oia and then hike back down to Fira. Same views and a lot less strenuous.
