check out time from our cave villa is 12pm, our flight via BA to the UK is at 7pm. What is there to do in the meantime, is there stuff to do at the airport, how far in advance do we need to be there, this is a connecting flight for us back to the states from UK. Is it worth paying a little extra if possible to stay at the villa? Also, how much are the taxis to take from OIa to Kamari beach and Red Beach. Our villa is in Oia. thanks!!!

Rent a car for your last day and drop it off at the airport. It will a lot cheaper than spending money on taxis and it will allow you to go wherever you want and at your own pace. In Oia get a car from Vazeos, on the road out of Oia towards Fira and just past the Anemomilos Hotel. They will let you drop it off at JTR. Be sure to go to your local AAA office to pick up an International Driving Permit, no test or membership required. Bring 2 passport photos to save a few dollars.

I agree - rent a car for the day and get in what you can. The airport is very small and there is nothing to entertain yourself there. We stayed in Firostefani and our taxi ride to the airport was about 30 bucks for a 15 minute ride.

be a bit prepared for the airport, it is tiny and very poor. ok when arriving but not great when leaving. certainly not somewhere you would want to spend time in.
