Hi, Since we will be in Santorini over Orthodox Easter, do you recommend making restaurant reservations in advance of arriving? Also, since we will not be renting a car on this trip, does anyone have a recommendation for a private or semi-private tour, not including Oia, Fira, and Imerovigli, since we will do those on our own?

You can take a boat tour in caldera toward the island - growing new volcano. Then there is a public bus which we took to the winery. The name I unfortunately forgot. Visitor center in Fira can give you a lot of ideas.

I highly recommend doing one of the boat or catamaran tours. Best day of our trip!!!!

We spent 3 days in Santorini last July. The last day we hired Kostas S. (find on Trip Advisor) who took us over the whole island then dropped us off at the airport (which meant we didn't have to carry our luggage around). He was even our guide in Akrotiri. As a resident with family on the island, he has a unique perspective and knows all the history. I highly recommend him!!

Thanks so much Cindi and Julie. I had just decided to contact Kostas and was going to do so tomorrow. Glad you confirmed my ideas and I will also look into a catamaran sail.
