- We have booked a Rick Steves Tour to Greece in Sept Oct.. We are booking flights. Should we go to the Farewell Breakfast if it involves staying extra day? Only flight we find on our airline leaves Athens at 10:30 AM
On the trip I've taken, the farewell dinner is the night before. The last morning breakfast is an afterthought.
There really isn't a farewell breakfast, because many people leave for early flights.
The farewell dinner the night before is likely the last GTG of the whole group.
Breakfasts on the tour are never a group event anyway.
As others have said, your last group activity is dinner the night before. We’ve been lucky if we’ve seen more than a couple tour members the last morning on our tours. Book your flight!
Day 13: Athens' National Archaeological Museum
This morning we'll take a ferry ride to Piraeus, where our bus will be waiting to take us to Athens' impressive National Archaeological Museum, home to amazingly preserved masterpieces in marble, bronze, and gold. Your afternoon is free to wander and shop through the Plaka, or explore other parts of this bustling city. Tonight we'll gaze at the floodlit Acropolis and enjoy a final dinner together, sharing travel memories and toasting new friends.
Day 14: Tour Over After Breakfast
Breakfast is provided, but there are no group activities today.
You may want to check what time the hotel starts breakfast service to see if you will have time, or can get a 'bag to go'
Don't plan on staying an extra day just to do the last breakfast; it's a none event.
