I haven't been there, but this restaurant is listed in the RS Istanbul guidebook (which includes a blurb on Kuşadası):
Eating: $$$$ Kazım Usta Restaurant, next to the cruise port, is casual, with colorful fishing dinghies moored nearby; they specialize in veggie and seafood mezes and salt-coated fish (Mahmut Esat Bozkurt Cad. 14/A, +90 256 614 1226).

A lot of places where R Steves stays and dines are moderate when he films a TV episode -- and down the road they turn out to be super-expensive, because of all that "free advertising" and the lemming-lilke loyalty of RS followers. He's done some wonderful programs, but one needs deep pockets to follow in his footsteps, after years & years of rebroadcasts. I can remember when his Athens hotel choice had moderate room rates.
