We will be returning our rental car at the Santorini port on June 6 for the 1:45 ferry to Crete. How much time should we allow for the car return and ferry ticket purchase? Thank you in advance!

On June 6 there is no ferry from Santorini to Crete at 1.45.
It could be the 4.15 pm "Thunder" of Fast Ferries.

JoLui - thank you. Uncertain where I came up with that time. Sea Jet has the "Power Jet" leaving at 4:00, arriving at Heraklion at 5:40. Any idea how much time before the 4:00 departure I should allow to return a car & buy tickets?

There is a ticket office at the port but If you can you should buy your ticket the morning or the day before, it will save you time. Also be aware that traffic to the port can be very busy. It is a very winding road (and a dead end) where all the traffic, cars, buses, trucks, to and from the port crosses. It can take a very long time to cover 3 km, so if you are leaving from Fira, try to leave 1h30 before the ferry leaves. Anyway, contact the rental company to have more information about the return car process.
