Restaurants in Athens with view of Acropolis

We have an upcoming RS Greece in 14 Days in early May, but we are arriving 2 days early to see more of Athens and to do a day trip to Corinth & Nemea area winery visit with Greek Travelling. Do any of you have favorite restaurants with night view of the Acropolis that you would recommend? There are two group dinners, 1st and last night, do they tend to use a particular restaurant for either of these (Maria is our guide). Mani Mani has excellent reviews, but no view.

Lucky you!! We were on the tour in 2017. We stayed at Hotel Hera which has a lovely view of the Acropolis at the top. The restaurant was "The Peacock." We were not that impressed with the menu. Our first night as a group we ate at "God's Country." Typical Greek cuisine.

On our last night as a group we ate at Mani Mani! It was our favorite. Exceptional. So good, we ate there 3 times. We didn't care if it lacked a view! Unique cuisine. The house wine was very good. Both red or white was great. Desserts were wonderful. If you go there on your own be sure to book a reservation in advance.

*** EDIT: One more comment on view restaurant at Hera Hotel. Lovely as it was, it was not smoke free 2 years ago. Maybe that has changed?

The Hera's rooftop is good for a drink, especially at sunset. Mani Mani is where my RS tour had the farewell dinner - I only wish I'd known about it on my pre-tour days. Are you staying at the Hera or the Acropolis Select? They are about 1-1/2 blocks apart and Mani Mani is about half-way between them. The first night our dinner was at an unremarkable restaurant (one of many) across the street from the Acropoli metro station (a couple blocks from the Hera).

A better view than the Hera is the rooftop restaurant at the Acropolis Museum (you don't enter the museum itself. The Hera's rooftop bar/restaurant is enclosed, this one has both indoor and outdoor seating and outside the views are excellent. The food (I had lunch there) was fine, nothing special, at reasonable prices.

This is a great tour. You'll love it!

P.S., take sun hats, sunscreen, lip balm, and water shoes - the beaches are all inviting and all pebbly.

We just finished our 14 day RS tour of Greece earlier this morning.
We ate last night at The Balcony...very good!
As mentioned above and on other feedbacks Mani Mani is exceptional. Of all the restaurants we ate while in Athensand on tour Mani Mani is a top recommendation. Make a reservation.
You can get views all around Athens at different restaurants or bars but the 2 restaurants I’ve mentioned above will give you great food and memorable experience.
Enjoy your trip...we had a great Tour!

There is a very good restaurant inside the New Acropolis Museum. The view of the Acropolis/Parthenon is amazing. They have both indoor and outdoor seating areas.

For a dramatic dinner at sunset and after dark try the Orizontes Restaurant at the top of Lycabettus Hill.

I stayed at the Hydra Hotel before and during RS tour and I enjoyed the fact that after a busy day I just went upstairs for my dinner and view. I am a vegetarian and I went to the restaurant twice and had the same meal both nights because the dish was so good. Consequently, I'll have to disagree that the restaurant is mediocre.
