I'm staying at Attalos Hotel in Athens.
Can anyone recommend some good lunch and/or dinner restaurants within walking distance of that area or near the Acropolis for when we're out and about sightseeing?
TIA!

The restaurant inside the Acropolis Museum is excellent. And it's a great place to stop for a rest while exploring the museum itself.
A good lunch spot is the Diodos on Adrianou, directly opposite the entrance to the Agora. Nice food, reasonable prices and friendly people. Plus a great view up at the Acropolis.
Some of the best and most authentic Greek Food will be found in the tavernas in the Central Markets on Athinas St. just up from the Attalos.
My favorite is Epirus Taverna. They serve from lunch time to about 6:30 in the evening.
It's cafeteria style. You walk in look at all the different food in plans and pick what you want. No Souvlaki or Gyro wraps which most tavernas hype, just authentic and home cooked Greek Food!
For a great mezze style place also in the Central Markets is Ouzeri Karyiannis. You buy a glass of Ouzo and you get a small mezze plate with your choice of appetizers!
Real Greek Food is hard to find in Athens as most restaurants cater to tourists (Souvlaki & Gyros) but the Central Market tavernas is a hidden gem.
ManiMani is near the Acropolis and serves excellent food.
Does Mani Mani offer any outdoor seating options? Thank you.
