Reserving a car for one day feasible while staying in Palaio Faliro west of Athens?

I have 2.5 days/3 nights in Greece before an organized tour starts in Athens. I am considering staying on the coast in Palaio Faliro area for 3 nights. But I want to also explore south of athens (i.e. Temple of Posieden and south beaches). Rather then rent a car from the airport and bring it back to my apartment for 3 days, I was thinking I could just rent a car for the day from the neighborhood area.

Is anyone familiar enough with that area to comment on to just rent a car for the day from a local business, or car rental agency for one day? It seems easier to me. i could also take cabs or public transportation, but like the idea of having own car.

It sounds as tho you are renting on VRBO or AirBnB. Why not contact y our "landlord" and ask this question? Very few people on a forum such as this would have such specialized information.

Oh. I see. Yes you may be correct. I was thinking this would be a good forum because people travel so much. But comment noted and I will pursue other avenues of research. Thank you.

betsyjaney, it might easily be that you are going to learn something new that you can come back and share later with other travelers - and that no one here knows the answer to your question. But with the wealth of knowledge here, I would be in agreement with you that this was a good place to ask!
