Hello, we are planning a rental car driving trip this summer . Picking up the car in Athens and dropping it in Sofia Bulgaria. Is this possible? Has anyone ever done this with a drop charge? Any other information about roads , must sees other information is very much appreciated.

expedia shows 'nothing available' for ATH-SOF rental
autoeurope showed a $11,000.00+ ( yes it did) for a week from Alamo. The Alamo site did not produce a result.

We need to know more about your plan to advise alternatives. Thessaloniki to Sofia looks fairly easy by public transport.
