recommendation small cities needed to stay 4-5 weeks around Milan, Florence, Tuscany area

Hello dear forum member

I am looking to stay for 5 weeks in small city in Italy close to Florence or Milan or Tuscany area in April to be able to travel to other small cities to visit by train.
1) please kindly suggest the cities around each part?

2) please recommend any corporate housing or apartment agencies to rent one bedroom for 2 people for 4-5 weeks.
