Rafina to Airport

If we take a ferry from Mykonos- which is better way to go - to Rafina or Piraeus? Or are either one fine?
This would be the end of our trip and we want to be back on mainland the day before our morning flight.

Would Rafina provide an easy taxi drive to airport as well as decent options for hotel for the night?
Mostly I am seeing west coast towns and south of Athens as the "airport hotels" areas.
If Rafina is a bad way to go I'll concentrate on arriving Piraeus.

Sofitel is not an option - way too expensive.

Rafina is much closer to Mykonos so the ferry ride will be shorter. There are regularly-scheduled buses from Rafina to the Airport.

Near the airport are the much-more affordable St. Thomas B&B and Peri's Hotel. Peri's offerspickup and return to the airport between around 8am and 10pm. It used to be free but I don't know if it still is. If your morning flight is before that they'll arrange for a taxi to take you to the airport.

We go to Rafina a lot on our way to and from Andros. It's a nice little town with some good restaurants and so a good bet for a last night in Greece.

We generally stay in the Hotel Avra which is a fairly standard hotel with a good breakfast

Cheaper and more basic, but still fine, is the Corali on the main square

As Lee says there are regular buses to the airport which cost around 3 euros a person and take about 40 minutes. A taxi will cost around 40 euros and, the last time we took one, actually took longer. This was because the buses go through the secure airport area but taxis have to go round.

Given the choice I would certainly take Rafina over Piraeus for a last night. It's nicer and more relaxing.

PS We've also stayed in the Peri which was fine and the people were helpful. The downside is that it's in a suburban area and has only one nearby restaurant.
