Purchasing Advanced Tix

Guidance for how far in advance to buy, rebuttable web sites, and which site visits to see for trip. Will be in following cities:

Nafplio April 3-5 (driving from Athens airport 3rd)
Delphi April 5-7
Athens 7-10 (early flight 10th)

We do have a car from 3rd-7th then will deposit once in Athens but staying in walking distance of all. Trip is myself, husband, and 18yr old son for his graduation trip-his pick. We are avid hikers and historical sites are his jam! We don't want to be too over "booked" to leave room for the random adventure we find but know some places need advance tix.

In April I don't think you will have to buy tickets in advance for the sites around Nafplio (Mycenae and Epidaurus), we were there this year at the end of May, no waiting time at the ticket counters, I guess it will be the same at Delphi.

Regarding Athens, and particularly for the Acropolis it is best to book a few days in advance.
When you buy your tickets the new rules require you to select the day and time you will visit the Acropolis. You will have to respect this time slot of +/- 15 minutes

The official website to buy your tickets for Delphi and the Athens sites is this one:
