Hi there. We have booked comfort flex tickets from Paris to Athens but for the life of me I can’t figure out how much luggage I can bring. One page says up to 23kg and the next it says a 8kg bag and a small bag. Does this mean I can bring 2 on board and a checked bag . Please can someone help Awgean don’t make it very clear at all!!
Agean Air has a baggage calculator based on your departure city, destination city, date and fare class. Here is the link.
https://en.aegeanair.com/travel-info/travelling-with-aegean/baggage/baggage-calculator/?a_id=2173&session=dJN9D*aq
If this doesn’t work access Help and Contact at their website. Type in baggage allowance and you will be taken to the calculator.
Based on the information that you’ve provided you are allowed to carry on a personal item, plus an item up to 8 kg. Additionally, you can check a bag weighing up to 23 kg.
Thank you so much. That worked perfectly for me
Glad it helped.
Depending on the size of plane your larger carry on may be checked even if it is within the technical carry on allowance. The bins on the prop planes are very, very small. This happened to us in June between Naxos and Athens and burned 45 minutes waiting for our bags in Athens. We took the Paris Athens route on the front side of that trip and it was on an Airbus and we were able to keep all carry ons in cabin with us.
As Sarah mentions, the maximum allowable cabin baggage size is lower on some domestic flights operated on turboprop ATRs.
In the Cyclades Islands: Naxos, Paros, Milos and Syros (which have too shorts runways for Airbus or Boeing)
For these islands it's 55 cm x 40 cm x 23 cm instead of 56cm x 45cm x 25cm. The maximum weight does not change: 8kg
If it's a flight to Crete, Mykonos or Santorini, it will be with an Airbus, so no problem.
