Thank you to all that have given information for our plan trip in September. We plan to arrive in Chania September 13 of this year.
We have read reviews and opinions and decided to skip the Marriott and stay in Old Town. We finally decided on a B&B on the harbour called Casa Del Porto. We tried a couple of times to make reservations with no response. Does anyone have other suggestions for staying 5 nights in Old Town?

Check out Airbnb. You'll find some wonderful places in Old Town that offer more traditional accommodations in fully restored buildings and totally up to date.

We liked the Elia Palazzo hotel on Theodokopolou Street. Updated rooms, great breakfast, loved our little balcony overlooking the street.

Another vote for for Hotel Palazzo on Theotokopoulu street ... about 12 rooms in a b eautifully done Venetian mansion. But I see from your choice that yo u want something more luxe. If so, I suggest you persist with emails or maybe use the phone # to otext. A lot f small-accom owners take Jan-Feb as their "time-off" months, and may not answer emails promptly.
